Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett

SUMMARY OF BOOK: Mink and Alex meet in a chat room for movie buffs. Through months of chat exchanges, both are convinced they are destined to be together; if they ever meet. Bailey and Porter meet while working in a museum and instantly hate each other. The only destiny they have is hating each other for eternity. Right? AS all four couples grow closer and lines begin to get more blurred, Alex, Mink, Bailey, and Porter are faced with a tough decision; stay safe or take a movie worthy risk.

I read this in one sitting (stayed up all night actually) and that’s saying something because I was exhausted but that’s how good this book was!

I started it about a week ago and the first chapter was a bit of an information dump so I stopped. Then last night I was like ‘hey, let me give this another chance because it sounds really good.’. So I gave it another chance AND BOY AM I GLAD THAT I DID!

I haven’t had a book make me feel like this in a while! This entire book was magical, angsty, heartbreaking, and heart mending. It was thrilling, suspenseful, and absolutely magical.

I actually am not a movie person. At all! I would rather watch TV shows (or read) than movies so I thought that I wouldn’t be able to connect with the characters and the plot (which is made to seem in the description to be the basis of what the book is about) but let me tell you that while movies are what bring the two people together (no spoilers here), the book isn’t solely about movies. So, if you’re not a movie person like me, you can still read this and enjoy and connect.

I can’t express how much I connected with these damned characters. It’s like Jenn Bennett looked into my soul and took bits and pieces of what I like and don’t like in people, of what I am and placed them into the characters. I genuinely don’t think that I’ve connected with two characters more in my life.

THE ENTIRE BOOK (minus the last chapter) WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT AND I LOVED IT MORE THAN ANYTHING EVER.

Anyways, read it. Love it as much as I did. You wont be displeased. Trust me.
