Wait For It by Mariana Zapata

“You can’t always wait for someone else to do the right thing when you can do it yourself.”

This is a typical Zapata slow-burn that wiggles it’s way into your heart. It’s different in one way which is that this deals with grief. A lot of grief. So much grief that it almost supersedes the entire book but, again, Zapata is queen, so Diana and Dallas still shine through.

“You don’t get to live your dreams by waiting around for someone to hand them to you.”

There’s the typical slow-burn, angsty, manly-men aspect of this book like all of Zapata’s books have but then there’s that little dash of uniqueness that made me want to read it all over again. There’s children involved that stole the show multiple times with their cuteness and there’s even secondary characters that come in from previous books, which I loved.

“I’ve done so many stupid things that you’ve made me regret—things I hope you will forgive me for and look beyond— but this, waiting a little longer for the love of my life, I can do.”

Once again, if your looking for anything slow-burn, Mariana Zapata will never do you wrong.

“You can’t always wait for someone else to do the right thing when you can do it yourself.”
